 The Florida Air Conditioning Apprenticeship Association (FACAA) in conjunction with the Palm Beach Air Conditioning Contractors Association (PBACCA) provides a combination of on-the-job training and related classroom instruction in which workers learn the practical and theoretical aspects of the highly skilled trade of HVAC/R.

Students are able to work full time during the day and attend classes two times a week three hours per night during the academic year. Classes are held at Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth, Florida.

Upon completion of the 4 year program graduates are awarded an Apprenticeship Completion Certificate from the State Office of Apprenticeship.

Our 4 year program offers  CPR, First Aid, OSHA Safety regulations, EPA Certification, Contractor Continuing Education Credits (CEU's), NATE training, NAIMA Fiberglass Duct Certification as well as fundamentals in basic indoor air quality and energy management. Also included are fluids and pressures, compression cycle components, refrigeration, piping material, fiberglass duct fundamentals, basic electricity, blueprint reading, heat loads, system design, humidity control, customer relations, heat pump controls, duct design, meter devices, schematic reading and low voltage wiring. Our program is constantly updating instructional material to provide the highest quality education possible.
